Windsor, CO. - The Colorado Eagles announced Monday that they have acquired forward Ludwig Karlsson in a trade with the Orlando Solar Bears in exchange for future considerations. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound winger has posted 54 points in 97 ECHL games, including 27 goals. He has also appeared in 10 AHL games with the Binghamton Senators and Texas Stars.

A native of Stockholm, Sweden, Karlsson spent two seasons at Northeastern University, where he would register 34 points in 49 games with the Huskies. He would also be named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team in 2012.

In his first professional season, Karlsson tallied 24 points in 39 games with the Elmira Jackals during the 2013-14 campaign. He would go on to split the 2014-15 season between the Idaho Steelheads and Missouri Mavericks, generating 21 points in 44 games with the Steelheads and nine points in 14 contests with the Mavericks.
