Utah's Kinasewich ECHL Player of Week

West Valley City, Utah - The ECHL announced today that Utah Grizzlies forward Ryan Kinasewich has been named the In Glas Co Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Kinasewich had three multi-point games this week for Utah, including a four point evening Sunday in Utah's 4-0 win, when he tallied one goal, three assists.

The second-year pro has 22 multi-point games in 46 played this year with the Grizzlies. He currently leads active ECHL players with 30 goals and is second among active players with 68 points.

In addition, the league has announced that Alfie Michaud has been named a runner-up for the league's RBK Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week.

The Utah netminder went 3-0-1 this past week and finished the weekend with 2 road shutouts (Friday and Sunday). The Selkirk, Manitoba native is tied for the league lead with four shutouts, three of which have come in the past two weeks. Last season in Peoria, Michaud led the ECHL with six shutouts.

Overall, the 2002-2003 ECHL Goaltender of the Year finished the week with a 1.46 GAA and a save percentage of .959.

Sunday night in Phoenix, Michaud stopped all 48 RoadRunners shots, setting a Utah season-high for most saves in a game.

The Grizzlies, 10-1-1 in their last 12 games, continue their nine-game road trip tomorrow in Alaska. Face-off is scheduled for 9:15 p.m.
