
'Blades Trade Rudenko to Pensacola

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president & general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward Bogdan Rudenko has been traded to the Pensacola Ice Pilots of the ECHL for future considerations. The trade is the third made by the Everblades in the past week.
Rudenko, 28, heads to Pensacola after skating in 32 games with the Everblades, notching 15 points (7g, 8a) and picking up 67 penalty minutes. The native of Kazachstan was originally signed by the Everblades on November 18 after spending last season with the Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL. Rudenko only saw action in 19 regular season games with Charlotte last season tallying 16 points, but participated in 15 of Charlotte's Kelly Cup Playoff games netting five goals and adding one assist.
The nine-year pro will be joining his eight ECHL team during his career which began in 1997-98 with Quad City in the United Hockey League. During his career Rudenko has skated in 452 games, tallying 324 points and amassing 994 PIM. Prior to turning pro, Rudenko spent two seasons at the junior level with Kingston, Kitchener, and Sarnia of the Ontario Hockey League.
In addition to the trade, the Everblades also saw defenseman John Adams and forward Vince Bellissimo reassigned to the club from Grand Rapids and Lowell of the American Hockey League respectively. The 24-year-old Adams has seen action in nine total AHL games between Grand Rapids and Springfield this year. The first-year pro has notched 12 points (1g, 11a) in 32 games with the Everblades this season.
The 23-year-old Bellissimo returns to the Everblades lineup having picked up a goal and an assist in three games with Florida. During his stint in the AHL with Lowell, the Toronto, Ontario native has notched 14 points (8g, 6a) in 45 games.
The Everblades return to action tonight against the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena. The first 2,500 fans will receive a Brandon Coalter Bobblehead Doll courtesy of the Naples Daily News.
