Glass called up to Binghamton

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte Checkers head coach and general manager Derek Wilkinson announced today that goalie Jeff Glass has been recalled by the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League. Wilkinson also announced that left wing Daniel Sparre has been assigned to the team from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL.

Glass, 20, has a record of 14-11-4 this season with the Checkers. A third-round draft pick by the Ottawa Senators in 2004 (89th overall), Glass has a 3.19 goals against average and a save percentage of .905. This will be Glass' second stint with Binghamton this season.

Sparre, 22, is a 5-foot-10-inch, 180-pound rookie from Brampton, Ontario. Sparre has skated in 37 games this season for the Wolf Pack registering 13 points (6g, 7a) and 14 penalty minutes. The left wing played four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
