
Maris Ziedins Returns To Thunder

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder has announced forward Maris Ziedins has been re-activated to the Thunder roster.
Ziedins, 27, returns to the Thunder after a stint with the Latvian Olympic hockey team, appearing in five games during the 2006 Winter Olympic tournament in Torino, Italy, posting one goal. A native of Talsi, Latvia, Ziedins is expected to be in the lineup for Stockton's February 28 game against the San Diego Gulls.
Slated to make his first appearance in a Thunder uniform since February 5, Ziedins has tallied 22 points (10g-12a) in 36 games with Stockton in 2005-06.
The Thunder has also announced forward John Longo has been placed on the seven-day injured reserve list with post-concussion syndrome.
The Thunder returns to play against San Diego on Tuesday, February 28 with a 7 p.m. PT face-off slated at Stockton Arena. The game can be heard live on the internet (free-of-charge) and is available for viewing at a $6 "pay-per-view" rate at www.stocktonthunder.com, courtesy of B-2 Networks.
