
Utah Grizzlies Release Training Camp Roster

Utah Grizzlies News Release
West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Christie today released a preliminary version of the team's 2006-2007 training camp roster. Camp opens Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Acord Ice Center. All practices are open to the public. A complete practice schedule is located at the bottom of this release. Utah's home opener is Friday, October 27 versus Las Vegas. The team opens the regular season on the road Friday, October 20 at Phoenix.
ECHL's Leading Goal Scorer Returns
Ryan Kinasewich, who last year finished tied for the league lead with 39 goals, despite not joining the team until November 18 returns to Utah. 39 goals were the most ever scored by a Utah Grizzlies player.
All-Star Craig Enters Second Pro Season With Grizz
Matt Craig, who took the ECHL by storm last season as a rookie, re-signs with Utah after scoring 27 goals and registering 27 assists in 59 games in 2005-2006.
Six Other 05-06 Grizzlies Are Back
Defensemen Ian Forbes, Ed Hill and Eric Nelson along with forwards Travis Rycroft, Brad Herauf and West Valley City native D.J. Jelitto have also re-signed with Utah for the upcoming campaign.
Goaltender McVicar Brings NHL Experience To Utah
Former Vancouver Canucks draft pick Rob McVicar joins Utah after making his NHL debut December 1, 2005 for Vancouver versus Edmonton. The 24-year-old has also played in 86 ECHL games and 17 AHL contests.
Justin Cox Returns For 5th Season With Grizzlies After One-Year Hiatus
Justin Cox, who played four AHL seasons for the Grizzlies from 2001-2005, winning the team's *Trash Talker Award* all four years, returns after splitting last season with rival Idaho and the AHL's San Antonio Rampage. Cox scored two goals and registered five assists in seven games last year versus his former team as the Steelheads assistant captain.
Scorer Wirll Joins Jason Christie's Top Forward Line
Mike Wirll, who scored 39 points (11 goals, 28 assists) in 39 games last year with Victoria joins the Grizzlies after scoring nine points (four goals, five assists) versus Utah last season.
Ed Campbell Brings 10 Years Of AHL Experience To Blue Line
A veteran of 695 professional regular season games and 61 playoff games enters his first ECHL season. The 6-foot-2 defenseman has tallied 38 goals, 134 assists and 1,487 penalty minutes in the regular season during his career.
