Toledo Walleye News Release

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, announced today that they have added center Jeff Attard for the 2006-2007 season.

"Attard was an important factor in our success last season," said Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Nick Vitucci. "He was a very dangerous player on the ice and was a guy we knew was going to produce for us. We are happy to have him back again this year."

Attard returns to the Red and White for his second consecutive season. Jeff finished with 39 points (17 G, 22 A) and 81 penalty minutes during his first Storm season. Attard also logged ice time in all 13 Storm playoff games last year, finishing with a goal, five assists and 30 PIM. Prior to his days in Toledo, Attard spent two years with the Las Vegas Wranglers and Long Beach Ice Dogs. In 2004-05, Attard was awarded with the ECHL Man-of-the-Year accolades, given to the player who demonstrates outstanding community service. 2006-07 will be his sixth year as a professional; the London, Ontario native has 69 career goals and 123 helpers in 328 games as a pro.
