Condor Player visits Sing Lum Elementary for the Field Trip Day

This Week:

Tuesday, October 5th: Condors Head Coach Marty Raymond and Director of Ticket Sales Jose Rivera are speaking to the Lion's Club in Arvin about the upcoming season.

Wednesday, October 4th: Condors player Steve Rodberg will visit the students at Sing Lum Elementary to get them excited about the annual Condors "Field Trip Day" on Tuesday, Nov. 14. Rodberg will speak about the importance of school, the community, opportunities, role models and excellence in education. Sunday, October 8th: The Condors Open House and Family Day will be held at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center located at 1325 Q St. from 12-3pm. This event marks the first chance for the public to meet the 2006-07 team and watch them on the ice during a practice. It is also the first day for season ticket holders to pick up their ticket packages and Kids Club members to grab their gear. Fans will also be able to skate with the team following their practice at 2pm. Skate rentals are available for $3 and are subject to availability. Admission is free with the donation of two non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Bakersfield Homeless Center.

Week in Review:

Thursday, September 28th: Condors players Reagan Leslie and Steve Rodberg and members of the Condors front office staff attended the Kern County Fair to help build a home for Habitat for Humanity. Later that evening, Condors players Mike Hofstrand and Kevin St. Jacques attended the fair to visit with KUZZ and sign autographs.

Friday, September 29th: The Condors Care-A-Van traveled to Delano with Goodwill Industries to visit Morningside Elementary and Delano Regional Medical Center. Condors player Josh Liebenow and Community Relations Manager Jill Watts spoke to students at Morningside Elementary to stress the importance of education and hard work.

Friday, September 29th: Condors Account Managers Tim Statezni and Mark Goodwin, attended the third annual Bakersfield City School District's Community Partners In Education Day to discuss educational issues.

Saturday, September 30th: The Bakersfield Condors held mascot tryouts to find energetic mascots to attend community appearances and interact with the fans on game nights.

Mark your Calendars:

Saturday, October 14th: The Bakersfield Condors will host their first preseason game at Rabobank Arena at 7pm versus the Long Beach Ice Dogs.

Baby Cal and Colonel Claw'd are looking for kids to join the coolest club in Condorstown for only $20. Membership includes a Kid's Club T-shirt, free admission to six (6) games, membership card and exclusive gifts provided by the Bakersfield Californian, Bright House Networks and Wells Fargo Bank.
