Utah Grizzlies News Release
In A Nutshell
Utah is currently 4-1-1 on their season-long nine-game road trip. Utah has outscored the opposition 20-11 during this road trip.
Alfie's Still On His A-Game
Utah netminder Alfie Michaud went 3-0-1 this week for the Grizzlies. He collected shutouts Friday and Sunday for Utah, running his total to four on the season. The former Vancouver Canuck stopped 115 of 117 shots this weekend playing in three games in three nights for Utah.
Alfie's Still An Iron Man
With this weekend, Alfie Michaud has now played three games in three nights three times this year for Utah. Michaud is 7-0-2 during these marathon weekends.
Team Record Eclipsed
With 13 shots on net Saturday versus San Diego, Ryan Kinasewich set an all-time Utah Grizzlies high. The old record was 12 shots in one game set April 1, 1997 by Chris Taylor versus Fort Wayne in the IHL. 13 shots in one game also ties an ECHL season-high.
Being A Part Of The Action
Ryan Kinasewich had a part in every goal Sunday in Utah's 4-0 win over Phoenix. He had one goal and three assists.
Kinasewich Among League Leaders
Ryan Kinasewich scored his 30th goal of the season Sunday in Phoenix. Kinasewich leads active ECHL players in goals scored. Kinasewich is second among active ECHL players with 68 points. Kinasewich joined the Utah lineup nearly a month into the season.
Life In The Fast Lane
Utah played four of their five games this past week on travel days. The Grizzlies went 3-1 during those travel days. On the season, Utah is 7-4-1 when arriving in a city on a game day.
So Long For Now And Good Luck
Saturday, defenseman Ed Hill was loaned to the Peoria Rivermen of the AHL. Hill had nine points in 12 games with Utah during the month of February. In January, Hill spent four games with the AHL's San Antonio Rampage.
Streak Ends At 12
Garett Cameron's team season-high 12-game point streak came to an end Saturday in San Diego. Over the course of 12 games, Cameron had eight goals and nine assists.
Going Home
The Grizzlies return to the E-Center Wednesday, March 15 hosting Alaska. Utah has just six regular season home games left on the season.
Last But Not Least
Utah finished their February schedule 10-2-2. 10 wins for Utah completes their most successful month of the year.
