INFERNO COACH'S SHOW: Tuesday, February 28th at 7pm. Mike Stathopoulos and Gustav Engman will be our special player guests. Come join us live at The Tap Room, located on Bower Parkway off of Harbison Blvd. The Tap Room is located right next door to the Columbiana Grand Movie Theatre. The Tap Room is home to 50 different beers on tap including root beer. Enjoy their great menu of dinner items, including their Texas Tumbleweed Rolls, Ahi Tuna, Brew Pub Style Roast Beef Sandwich and the Spinach and Portabella Mushroom Sandwich. You can also listen on ESPN 93.1FM from 7pm - 8pm.

THE WEEK AHEAD

Friday, March 3rd Inferno vs. Gwinnett Gladiators 7:30pm Carolina Coliseum

This is the final game this season between the Inferno and Gladiators. The Inferno is 1-7-0 against Gwinnett this season and 8-11-1 all-time. Gwinnett is in first place in the South Division with 77 points (35-11-7).

Saturday, March 4th Inferno vs. Augusta Lynx 7:30pm Carolina Coliseum

The Inferno is 2-3-1 this season and 17-13-6 all time against the Lynx. This is the seventh of nine games between the Inferno and Augusta. The Lynx are in sixth place in the South Division with 52 points (24-26-4).

Friday, February 24th INFERNO 2 South Carolina 1 (SO)

The Columbia Inferno picked up two important points in the South Division as they defeat the South Carolina Stingrays 2-1 in a shootout. Marc-Andre Bernier scored at 12:26 of the second period, with a power play opportunity just ending, with a rocket slap shot from the blueline to beat Stingrays goaltender Davis Parley. Derek Eastman had the assist. Craig Olynick scored for South Carolina to tie the game at 2:49 of the third period and push the game into overtime and a shootout. On the seventh shooter, Dallas Flaman scored to give the Inferno the shootout win. The Stingrays outshot the Inferno 47 - 22. The Inferno went 6-for-6 on the penalty kill and 0-for-3 on the power play.

Saturday, February 25th Inferno 2 GREENVILLE 3 (SO)

The Columbia Inferno lost in a shootout but gained a point in the South Division standing as the Greenville Grrrowl won 3-2. Greenville went on the board first as they scored only 1:43 into the game with a goal by Tyler Mosienko. Columbia's Travis Lisabeth scored at 9:06 on the power play as he blasted a one-timer past goaltender Cam Ellsworth. Derek Campbell and Brandon Nolan had the assists. Only a minute later, Greenville went ahead with a power play goal by Brock Radunske. Dallas Flaman scored at 10:19 of the third period as he tipped in the puck to tie the game for the Inferno. Chris Busby and Nolan had the assists. The Inferno went 2-for-4 on the power play and had 28 shots on goals.
