Condors Revise Guaranteed Fight Night Promotion

February 27, 2006 - ECHL (ECHL)
Bakersfield Condors News Release

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors have announced they have modified the originally- planned Guaranteed Fight Night promotion scheduled for this evening's contest against the Fresno Falcons. To follow through on the original guarantee, fans will instead be treated to a boxing match on the ice between fans with oversized inflatable boxing gloves during the first intermission of tonight's game.

The original promotion promised fans that a fight would take place during the course of the evening's game. If fans did not see a fight, they would receive a voucher for a free ticket to a future Condors game until they saw a fight.

"The intent of the promotion was obviously not to plan a fight, but to have some fun with an element of the game of hockey," said Condors President Matthew Riley. "We can see how people can interpret the promotion differently, but since we want to follow through for fans who purchased tickets because of the original promise."

In addition, each fan in attendance will receive a Condors poster courtesy of KUZZ 107.9 and the US Army featuring several players in their camouflage jerseys.

To bring out a group of 20 or more fans, contact the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825) for special pricing.
