GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers have announced plans for special promotions at the next two home games at the BI-LO Center. Greenville plays at home on Saturday night (2/19 @ 7:05pm) against the Gwinnett Gladiators, and then again on Monday night (2/21 @ 7:05pm) against the South Carolina Stingrays.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2005 â vs Gwinnett Gladiators â 7:05pm
SCOUT NIGHT â 1,500 scouts on hand for the game with approx 200 Boy Scouts having a "camp-in" in the concourse at the BI-LO Center after the game; Scouts will have an exclusive autograph session with Grrrowl players following the game;
NIE JERSEY AUCTION â Special jerseys (that were worn on Education Day) will be worn as part of the Newspaper In Education promotion that includes a silent auction for the jerseys in the concourse (section 114) during the game; winning bidders will receive the game-worn jersey off the backs of players on the ice after the game; proceeds from the auction will be donated to Newspaper In Education through Center Ice Charities.
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2005 â vs South Carolina Stingrays â 7:05pm
PRESIDENTS DAY GAME â fans that reside on a street that includes a Presidents' name (Washington, Lincoln, etc.) can purchase tickets at a special 2-for-1 rate; must present picture ID with address at the BI-LO Center Box Office at the game to receive the promotional rate.
The Grrrowl will be at Augusta (Friday @ 7:35) before returning to the BI-LO Center on Saturday, February 19th to face the Gwinnett Gladiators. Greenville is 24-19-4 overall, having won 7 of its last 9 games.
