Gladiators Sign Gallant

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they have signed forward Chester Gallant.

The Red Rock, Ontario native began the season in the United Hockey League with the Port Huron Beacons where he appeared in 2 games. With Winston Salem and Asheville of the Southern Professional Hockey League, Gallant has posted 16 goals and 9 assists for 25 points and has recorded 111 penalty minutes in 47 games.

The 6-foot-1, 188-pound forward was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in round 3, #64 overall in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. Gallant appeared in 38 ECHL games last season with Greensboro and Charlotte where he recorded 4 goals and 2 assists for 6 points.

Gallant should be available for the Gladiators 7:00 p.m. contest tonight against the Stingrays in South Carolina.

The Central Division Champion Gwinnett Gladiators continue their second season on the road in South Carolina on Friday, February 18th at 7:05 p.m. The Gladiators offer several ticket packages for different needs as well as group outings, suites and birthday parties.
