Chiefs Rally For Overtime Win Friday Night In Dayton

Dayton, OH – The Dayton Bombers dropped a 2-1 overtime game to the Johnstown Chiefs in front of 3,891 at the Ervin J. Nutter Center Friday night.

The Bombers took a 1-0 lead when BRETT NOWAK scored a powerplay at 3:28 of the first period. The Chiefs tied the game, 1-1, when Chad Cavanagh scored his 10th goal of the season at 8:33 of the first period.

There was no scoring in second or third period. The game-winning goal was scored by Joe Tallari just 53 seconds into overtime. Tallari stole the puck from Bryan Nathe and beat Bombers goaltender Simon Lajeunesse for the winner.

The Bombers return to action tomorrow (Saturday) night when they travel to Johnstown to face the Chiefs at The Cambria County War Memorial. Audio coverage begins at 7:00 PM at daytonbombers.com.
