Gregorio Petit reclaimed the lead for the Padres in the bottom of the eighth with a bases-loaded walk to force in the go-ahead run. Rene Rivera's RBI single to left followed by Cody Decker's two-run single gave Tucson a 5-1 advantage. The final run of the inning came on Dean Anna's RBI groundout to third base.
