
Trio of Hurricanes Named to Midterm Central Scouting Rankings

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Friday that Noah Chadwick, Logan Wormald and Harrison Meneghin have been named to the Midterm Rankings by the National Hockey League Central Scouting Service.
Chadwick, 17, was ranked 147th among North American skaters after being ranked as a 'C' skater by Central Scouting on the Preliminary Players to Watch List. The 6'3, 190-pounds rearguard has skated in 39 games this season with the Hurricanes totaling 10 points (3g-7a) along with eight penalty minutes and a plus-2 rating. The Saskatoon, SK, product had collected 13 points (5g-8a) and 12 penalty minutes in 52 career games with the 'Canes. He is third in defenceman scoring for the Hurricanes this season.
Wormald, 17, was ranked 160th among North American skaters after also being ranked as a 'C' skater by Central Scouting on the Preliminary Players to Watch List in October. The Langley, BC, product has had a strong sophomore season with the Hurricanes having totaled 30 points (15g-15a) along with 36 penalty minutes in 39 games this season. He currently sits tied for the team lead in goals. Wormald - who was drafted by the Hurricanes in third-round (45th overall) in the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft - has totaled 68 points (29g-39a) and 58 penalty minutes in 94 career games with the Hurricanes.
Meneghin, 18, was ranked 27th among North American goaltenders after being unranked by CSS heading into the 2022- 2023 season. The South Surrey, BC, product has had a great season in his first year in the WHL. He has appeared in 28 games this season posting an 18-8-0-1 record with a 2.71 goals against average and a .912 save percentage with one shutout. The 6'2, 161-pound puck-stopper sits fourth in the WHL in victories (18), sixth in minutes played (1,636) and games played (28), 10th in goals against average (2.71) and sixth in save percentage (.912) among goaltenders who have played 19-or-more games this season. Meneghin was named the WHL Goaltender of the Month in November.
In total, 42 WHL skaters were ranked while nine WHL goaltenders were ranked on the Midterm Rankings. The 2023 NHL Entry Draft is scheduled to take place in Nashville, TN, at Bridgestone Arena on June 28th and 29th.
The Hurricanes continue a season-long five-game homestand tonight at 7:00pm when they welcome the Prince George Cougars before ending the homestand against the Red Deer Rebels on Saturday night at 7:00pm at the ENMAX Centre.
