Toy Toss One Week Away
November 23, 2007 - ECHL (ECHL)
Johnstown Chiefs News Release
Johnstown, PA - The Johnstown Chiefs ninth annual Toys for Tots toy toss, sponsored by COOL 101.7 and the U.S. Marine Corps will be held Saturday, December 1, when the Chiefs host the Wheeling Nailers at 7:00 p.m.
"The toy toss is one of the most exciting promotions we do each year," said Chiefs Vice President Kevin McGeehan. "It is a promotion that everyone participates in and best of all it enables local children to celebrate the holidays that other wise probably would not."
All fans are encouraged to bring a stuffed toy to the game. When the Chiefs score their first goal of the evening everyone is invited to throw the toys onto the ice for collection. There will also be collection boxes in the main lobby of the arena for other toys.
All toys will be donated to area children and distributed the Marine Corps. The previous eight toy tosses have resulted in over 20,000 toys for local children.
Tickets for all home games are now on sale at the Cambria County War Memorial Box office or by calling (814) 536-5156 or by visiting www.ticketmaster.com . Mini plans and flex plans make great holiday gifts for more info please contact a Chiefs representative at (814) 539-1799 or 1 800 SLAPSHOT.
