Charlotte Checkers News Release
The Charlotte Checkers and Wild Wing Café cordially invite you to the first annual Tip-A-Checker charity event and silent auction with proceeds benefiting Special Olympics North Carolina.
Checkers players will double as your waiters for an evening of food, fun, raffles, door prizes and more. Silent auction items include a Date-With-A-Checker, a signed Okafor Bobcats jersey, Lowe's Motor Speedway tickets, and signed Carolina Panthers memorabilia just to name a few.
When: Sunday, April 3, 2005 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Where: Wild Wing Café in the Ayrsey Town Shopping Center at the corner of 485 and South Tryon.
Other Information:
Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under. The ticket price includes admission, the charitable donation, plus a soft drink, an appetizer and an entrée from the special Wild Wing Café Checkers menu. Just tell us which session you'd like to attend and how many people will be joining you. In addition to serving you, Checkers players will pose for photographs, sign autographs, you name it...all for tips that will be donated to Special Olympics North Carolina!
