'Blades to honor Barbara's Friends

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades are proud to announce that during their Friday, March 25 game vs. Victoria, the team will be honoring Barbara's Friends, the Children's Hospital cancer fund. Barbara's Friends is celebrating its 10th anniversary of raising money for South West Florida children stricken with cancer and battling hematology blood disorders.

The Everblades, in support of Barbara's Friends has designated their game on March 25 vs. the Victoria Salmon Kings as "Barbara's Friends Night at Germain Arena." During the first intermission, fund raising checks will be presented to representatives of Barbara's Friends by members of Atkins Construction Company and Lexington Community Association.

Individuals or corporations wishing to donate to Barbara's Friends may send tax-deductible checks to: Barbara's Friends, P.O. Box 2218, Ft. Myers, FL 33902. Seat naming opportunities are also available at Germain Arena with a $200 donation to Barbara's Friends. With the donation, a permanently inscribed name plate will be attached to an Arena seat.

The Florida Everblades host a pair of games vs. the Victoria Salmon Kings this Friday and Saturday night. Game time is 7:30 p.m. for both nights. Saturday night's game can also be seen on UPN-8. Tickets are available for all remaining Everblades home games.
