Louisiana IceGators News Release

Lafayette, LA – The Louisiana IceGators today announced several additions to their year end promotional schedule. Most notable are the appearance of "Super Fan" Cameron Hughes, at this Sunday's "Easter Family Fun Day", and the scheduling of three jersey auctions as the season winds down.

This Sunday, March 27, will be a special "Easter Sunday Family Fun Day" when the Gators host the Pee Dee Pride at 4:05pm. "Super Fan" Cameron Hughes will be appearing at the game for his only Louisiana appearance this year. Hughes caught the eye of the IceGators Booster Club when he performed when the Gators visited San Diego on January 15. His high energy dance performances had the crowd up and dancing with every stoppage in play. On average, Hughes will throw 30 t-shirts a game into the crowd. He has performed in 4 Canadian provinces,18 states, in front of fans for 22 different leagues at more than 300 events. More information on Hughes can be seen at his website, www.Cameronhughes.com. In addition to "Super Fan", Bouncin' Buddies will provide pre-game jumps for the kids and from 2:45 to 3pm the Easter Bunny will make an appearance to host an Easter Egg hunt on the front lawn of the Cajundome. It will also be the last chance to skate with the team, as after the game will be the final post game skate with the players.

The team also announced three jersey auctions, beginning with a silent auction that will run from March 26 thru April 7. Starting March 26th, at the IceGators information table, sheets will be available for an ongoing silent auction for the set of white game jerseys. The bidder will have to fill out a bidder's registration sheet with name/address/phone number, then the fan will be assigned a number. This will be their bidding number. All bidders will remain anonymous until the end of the auction. At the sound of the buzzer in the 3rd period of the game on April 7th the auction will end. The high bidders will be contacted on April 8th and will arrange payment either that day or at the game on April 9th. After the game on April 9th, the winning bidders will be able to pick up their jersey.

The green jerseys will be auctioned off at a live auction following the April 2nd home game. The auction will be a live, shirt off the players back auction. The live auction will run similar to all other auctions; fans will need to pick up a numbered plate in order to bid on jerseys.

The 10th Anniversary jerseys will be worn on April 7th and April 9th. The final game worn jersey auction will take place immediately following the game on April 9th and will run the same as the other live auctions.

Individual game tickets for Saturday night's game against Mississippi and Easter Sunday's contest against Pee Dee are on sale now. Tickets are available at the Cajundome Box Office, and all TicketMaster outlets and online at www.ticketmaster.com. For more information call the IceGators office at (337) 234-4423.
