Fort Wayne TinCaps News Release
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Grab your squad and drop into Parkview Field as the TinCaps host FORTNITE Night on Saturday, August 11th with first pitch at 7:05pm. Special in-game promotions and giveaways will highlight the evening's events. The team will also be wearing FORTNITE inspired jerseys that will be given away to fans in attendance that night. The game already featured an appearance by QuickChange and post-game fireworks!
"This is the game of the summer," explains Michael Limmer, TinCaps Vice President of Marketing. "Fans started asking in May if we would be hosting a FORTNITE theme night this season. While most of our theme nights are locked in during the off-season, we just couldn't pass up adding a theme night dedicated to a game this popular with 'Fort' in the title."
From player dances (emotes), battle buses, shields, chests, loot drops, and llamas, FORTNITE is a game that appeals to all ages. "We have kids and their parents excited about a TinCaps FORTNITE Night as well as high schoolers, college-aged, and young professionals," says Limmer. "It really spans across a wide spectrum of demographics engaged with the game."
With over 125 million active players worldwide, FORTNITE continues to top the list of most-played video games during the summer of 2018. Available for free on all video game consoles, PC, Mac, and iPhones the game is a mix of building and battle with a cartoon style.
A special page is available for fans to purchase tickets and have an additional chance to win a TinCaps game-worn jerseys (www.TinCapsFortNite.com). For each ticket purchased the fan will receive an additional chance to win. See ticket page for more information.
