Thomas, a 29-year-old native of Davison, Michigan, is 12-7-5 on the season, while being tied for sixth in the AHL with a 2.02 GAA, and ranking fourth with a .940 save percentage. He also has three shutouts, all in 1-0 road wins. Thomas has won five of his last six starts, and has allowed two or fewer goals in eight straight starts, including one shutout.
The Providence Bruins also wish to remind fans that they will have players available for autographs at the Special Olympics of Rhode Island's 26th Annual Sports Celebrity Carnival. All three players will be at the Sovereign Bank booth from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friday's game will be televised live on COX 3. Providence broadcaster Corey Masse will handle the play-by-play duties, while long-time college and professional analyst Bob Norton will be the color analyst. Adam Alper will call the game on radio on WDDZ AM-550.
