Syracuse Releases Cameron

Syracuse, NY (February 6, 2004) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have released center Scott Cameron from his professional try-out contract.

Cameron, 21, has appeared in nine games with Syracuse this season, recording three goals and one assist. In two games with Albany this season, Cameron did not record a point. Cameron has also split time this season with Cincinnati (ECHL) (17gp, 5g, 5a, 9 PIM's) and Dayton (ECHL) (3gp, 1g, 1a). A native of Valley East, Ontario, Cameron was selected by New Jersey in the sixth round, 185 overall, in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.

Syracuse travels to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday, February 6 for a 7:05 p.m. start.
