Cincinnati RailRaiders News Release
CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Dan Jancevski scored with 56 seconds remaining in the third period to lift the Utah Grizzlies to a 3-2 victory over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Friday at Cincinnati Gardens.
Jancevski took a feed from former Duck Rob Valicevic and beat Cincinnati goaltender Eddy Ferhi with a wrist shot from between the circles for his fourth goal of the season 3:40 after Justin Cox tied the score at 2-2 for the Grizzlies, who snapped a three-game losing streak and won for just the second time in their last 10 games.
Dan Ellis, a second-round pick by Dallas in 2000, made 31 saves including all 10 shots he faced in the third period to earn his second win since being promoted from ECHL Idaho.
Dan Bylsma, who helped lead Anaheim to the Stanley Cup finals last season, netted his first two goals of the season for Cincinnati, which has lost three straight games and is 1-5-1-0 in its last seven.
Ferhi, appearing in just his 12th game, finished with 29 saves in the loss for the Ducks, who are winless in their last four games at home (0-3-1-0).
The Ducks face the league-leading Grand Rapid Griffins tonight at 8:05 p.m. at Cincinnati Gardens. The first 3,000 fans receive a Garrett Burnett bobblehead, courtesy of Roto-Rooter.
