A wild second half of the hockey game where 7 goals were scored ended with the Medicine Hat Tigers coming out on top of the Kootenay ICE 4-3.

Veteran netminder Michael Bullion stopped 38 of the 41 shots he faced and his outstanding performance earned him first star of the game.

Hayden Ostir has continued to add to the Tigers offense since returning to the lineup after suffering an upper body injury December 9th, 2017. Ostir has 1 goal and 3 assists in three games played.

After a scoreless first period where Bullion made 15 saves, ICE captain Colton Kroeker found a way to beat Bullion on a break away in the last half of the middle frame.

Less than two minutes later, Elijah Brown responded for the Tigers on the power play to tie the game back up at one apiece. Ostir and Linus Nassen set up Brown to score his 7th goal of the season.

Fifty-two seconds later, Ryan Chyzowski gave the Tabbies their first lead of the day on a play from Tyler Preziuso.

With less than a minute left in the second period, Josh Williams scored on the power play to give the Orange and Black a 3-1 lead. Williams' 9th goal of the season was set up by Ostir and Jaeger White.

Late in the final frame, ICE Bobby Russell scored shorthanded before James Hamblin responded with a shorthanded goal of his own.

ICE Jonathan Smart scored with less than two minutes left to play to cut the visitor's lead to one.

Despite pulling goaltender Duncan McGovern shortly after Smart's goal to give the ICE an extra attacker, neither team was able to capitalize.

McGovern turned aside 24 of the Tabbies' 28 shots.

The Tigers are now 34-24-8-0 and will return home to the Canalta Centre to host the Regina Pats Tuesday night.
