ICE, Tigers Clash for Final Time this Season

Cranbrook, B.C. - The Kootenay ICE (25-37-3-1) welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers (33-24-8-0) to Western Financial Place on Sunday.

Puck drop is scheduled for 4 p.m. MST.

This is the seventh and final meeting of the season between these two Central Division rivals.

The ICE are coming off a 5-4 shootout loss to the Red Deer Rebels on Friday, March 2. Trailing by one goal late in the game, Brett Davis scored from the blue line to tie the game at four. The Rebels would eventually win in a shootout. The ICE got goals from Colton Kroeker, Colton Veloso, Alec Baer and Michael King while goaltender Matt Berlin made 13 saves. The ICE outshot the Rebels 31-17. They went 0-for-2 on the power play, 2-for-3 on the penalty kill and won 23 of 61 face-offs.

Friday's game was the first shootout of the season for the ICE and the first time a game has gone to overtime since New Year's Day. The ICE have gone to an extra session 10 times this season and have an overtime record of 6-3.

The ICE have amassed 54 points this season, which is good for fourth in the Central Division and 10th in the Eastern Conference.

The ICE are 1-8-0-1 in their last 10 games and have a home record of 15-16-2-0.
