Brampton Beast Battle past the Adirondack Thunder

The Adirondack Thunder scored one goal in the first period and added three in the third as they shut out the Brampton Beast 4-0 at the Powerade Centre in Brampton on Thursday night.
Thunder goaltender Ken Appleby stopped all 28 shots he faced to earn his second shutout of the season, while Jeff Silengo led the way with two goals for Adirondack.
Silengo gave the Thunder a 1-0 lead heading into the first intermission with his third goal of the year at 10:38.
Silengo's notched a power play goal at 2:27 of the second period to give the Thunder a 2-0 lead.
Rob Bordson's eighth goal of the season at 6:18 of the second frame pushed the lead to three, but the second period scoring didn't end there. Michael Kirkpatrick scored his seventh goal of the year on the power play in the final minute of the second, giving the Thunder a four-goal edge heading into the final period.
Beast goaltender Trevor Cann started the game between the pipes and lasted two periods and finished the game with 19 saves.
Sean Bonar entered the game to start the third period and settled things down for the Beast. The team came together defensively and held the high-octane Thunder to just five shots over the final 20 minutes.
Bonar stopped all five shots he faced in relief.
Notes: Brandon Marino failed to record a point, snapping his six-game point streak. Chris Auger was also held pointless, breaking his mini three-game point streak. Molson Three Stars: 3) Brandon Marino 2) Rob Bordson 1) Jeff Silengo.
The Beast are back at the Powerade Centre on Sunday, December 6 at 2:00 PM n to face the Kalamazoo Wings. Single game tickets are now available, starting at $16.25.
