Alaska Aces News Release

ANCHORAGE, AK - The Alaska Aces have reacquired forward Peter Sivak from the Ft. Wayne Komets for forward Joe Perry.

Aces Head Coach and President of Hockey Operations Rob Murray made the announcement Thursday.

Sivak was part of the Aces Kelly Cup team in 2013-14. He was a first team All-Star that season, scoring 31 goals with 52 assists for 83 points in 67 games. Most impressive might have been his +49 plus/minus number, earning him the ECHL Performer of the Year Award.

Since that year in Alaska, the 5-11, 180 pound Sivak played a handful of AHL games with Abbotsford and Bridgeport, and in the ECHL with Stockton, Orlando and Ft. Wayne.

"Peter is an elite talent in this (ECHL) league," said Murray. "We feel fortunate to be able to bring him back to Alaska and hope he'll spark our offense."

Perry was acquired from the Quad City Mallards during the off-season for forward Olivier Archambault. Perry scored 4 goals with 3 assists for 7 points in 20 games this season for Alaska. He was a team-leading -13 plus/minus. He also led the Aces in shots on goal with 76.
