Americans Players' Wives and Girlfriends to Collect Food Items During December Home Games
December 3, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Allen Americans News Release
Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans announced today the team will collect canned goods and non perishable food items that will be donated to Allen Community Outreach at all the December home games starting with this Saturday night's game against Utah.
Allen Americans players' wives and girlfriends will be at all entrances to accept donations from fans. Anyone who donates a food item will receive a free ticket voucher to a future Allen Americans Home Game.
"It's a great opportunity for the wives and girlfriends to help out and lend a hand during the holiday season, said Ashley Costello, wife of Allen Americans Co-Captain Chad Costello. "We are very thankful for what we have so getting an opportunity to meet and greet fans and say thank you would be very rewarding."
Allen Community Outreach (ACO) began in 1985, and today is the sole local provider of free human services for the cities of Allen, Fairview and Lucas in Collin County, Texas. Over the past 30 years, ACO has grown from strictly information and referral services to a wide array of human service provisions. ACO's "One Stop Shop" facility - the first of its kind in Collin County - provides a seamless system of services and programs.
The Allen Americans begin a stretch of four straight home games beginning with Friday night's Hockey & Heels game against Rapid City. The Americans will host their annual Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday night against Utah at 7:05 pm. Allen welcomes Idaho to the Allen Event Center for the first time ever on December 9th & 13th. Tickets for all home games are on sale at www.ticketmaster.com or call 972-912-1000 for more information.
