Thunder Claim Former SF Bulls Captain Scott Langdon

The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders and AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, have announced that the team has claimed San Francisco Bulls defenseman Scott Langdon on waivers from the South Carolina Stingrays per Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Rich Kromm.

Langdon, 29, was in his second year with the Bulls and first as the teams captain, playing a total of 107 games with the Bulls before the organization ceased operations. Once he became a free agent, the defenseman signed with the South Carolina Stingrays where he suited up in 20 contests.

The Ancaster, Ontario native has played a total of 242 games in the ECHL with the Stingrays, Bulls, and Reading Royals picking up 9 goals and 38 assists for a total of 47 points. Langdon also has an ECHL total of 503 penalty minutes including 132 this season.

According to HockeyFights.com, Langdon has fought a Stockton player seven times in his career including three against Thunder captain Garet Hunt.

Langdon graduated from Niagara University where his Purple Eagles were crowned NCAA CHA Champions in 2007-2008. In 101 games, Langdon finished his NCAA career with 6 goals and 18 assists and finished +3.
