Orlando's Cepis Named CCM ECHL Player of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Jacob Cepis of the Orlando Solar Bears is the CCM ECHL Player of the Month for March.

Cepis scored seven goals and added 16 assists for 23 points in 14 games during the month.

The 26-year-old scored at least one point in nine games, and had six multiple-point games. He had four points three different times, tallying three goals and adding an assist in a 4-3 overtime win at Florida March 4, scoring a goal and notching three assists in a 5-4 victory at Fort Wayne on March 19 and potting two goals and picking up two assists in a 5-4 win against Evansville on March 29. Cepis twice had three assists - March 7 at Greenville and March 27 versus Evansville - and picked up a pair of helpers in a 4-3 shootout win against South Carolina on March 22.

A native of Parma, Ohio, Cepis has 53 points (18g-35a) in 42 games with the Solar Bears this season. He started the season with Karlskrona HK in Sweden where he recorded seven points (4g-3a) in 25 games.

Cepis has 174 points (63g-111a) in 165 career regular-season ECHL games with Orlando, Trenton and Idaho and he has added nine points (4g-5a) in nine games during the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
