Closing in on History

Defenseman Sam Ftorek is closing in on K-Wings history. Ftorek needs one assist to tie and two to break the K-Wings' ECHL record for assists by a defensemen, which was set by Ftorek (32) last season.

Thinking Positive

On Monday defenseman Jeremie Blain earned the AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month. Blain, who finished the month of March at +13, became the third K-Wings player in the past two months to receive the award joining Justin Taylor and Yannick Veillieux, who received the honor in February.

Strong Down the Stretch

The K-Wings have been tough to beat since February. Since February 1st, Kalamazoo has earned a record of 23-3-0-2, which includes a record of 9-2-0-2 in March.

Snapping a Streak

While it doesn't seem that long, the K-Wings start the week looking to snap a season-tying tying two-game winless (0-1-0-1) streak. Kalamazoo is 1-2-0-2 in their last five games.
