Texas Steamrolled by Oilers 5-1

Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (December 10)- In their second game in their December road trip the Brahmas seemed to have left their game on the bus as they dropped Friday's contest 5-1.

Tulsa took the 1-0 lead to head into the first intermission; seemingly an even matched period with Texas merely outshot 11-9. It was a lucky bounce for the Oil in the second when a dumped puck caught a seam in the boards and goaltender Kevin Beech out of play for their second of the night.

But a lackluster third by the Brahmas defense helped Tulsa capitalize for Texas' worst goal deficit of the season as they gave up three goals in the final frame. Oiler forwards Jack Combs and Braden Walls each contributed a pair of goals in the game. Dan Riedel, former forward for Tulsa, scored the Brahmas' lone goal to prevent the shutout bid by Trevor Cann.

The Brahmas went 0-for-5 on the powerplay and Beech had 26 saves for the night.

Texas continues with their road trip tomorrow night when they face the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs for a 7:05 pm faceoff. The Brahmas will return to NYTEX next Saturday when they host the Odessa Jackalopes for a 7:30 start. For ticket information please contact the Brahmas Box Office at (817) 336-4423.
