Fort Worth Brahmas News Release
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas - It wasn't just close proximity for the Brahmas and Americans Friday night as the scoreboard read a close game with a 3-2 Texas loss.
Texas found themselves down early when Jarret Lukin scored the game's first goal at the 16:19 marker in the middle frame. The Brahmas fought back and just two minutes later Greg Hogeboom evened the score with a powerplay goal from Chad Woollard and Calin Wild.
Within two minutes of the final period the Americans produced on a powerplay of their own when Bruce Graham beat Wayne Savage two minutes in. The Brahmas newest addition, veteran Chris Brassard, found the puck screaming across the ice midway in the third for his first goal back in the league. But it was Tobias Whelan to end the Brahmas winning streak as he fired the puck to the back of the net for the American victory.
Texas went 1-5 on the powerplay and were outshot 37 to 34. Greg Hogeboom increased his pointstreak to eight games with the goal.
Tomorrow night, Texas visits the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs (7:05) before finally returning home Sunday afternoon to take on Bloomington for the first time this season (4 pm). On Tuesday the Brahmas head west to face the Odessa Jackalopes (7:05 pm). For ticket information please call (817) 336-4423 or visit www.brahmas.com.
