Fort Worth Brahmas News Release
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas - The trip on I-20 will be a happier trip for the Brahmas as they head back home following a 5-3 victory over rivals Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs Saturday evening.
Texas captain Jason Deitsch returned to the lineup following a brief two game suspension and made his presence known to the Bossier fans with a goal for a 1-0 lead. The âBugs followed up with a goal from Shawn Limpright at the 19:08 mark, only to be silenced by an unassisted goal from Brahmas' Sean Hurley.
In the second period the Brahmas powerplay converted with a goal from Mick Lawrence. The third period was a game of âexchange' as both teams tallied a pair of goals in the final frame, but goals from Alex Curran and Greg Hogeboom kept the Brahmas up for the 5-3 win.
Wayne Savage had 29 saves in net to earn first star honors. Tomorrow afternoon the Brahmas return home to take on Bloomington for the first time this season (4 pm). On Tuesday the Brahmas head west to face the Odessa Jackalopes (7:05 pm). For ticket information please call (817) 336-4423 or visit www.brahmas.com.
