Greenville Grrrowl News Release

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville Grrrowl of the East Coast Hockey League open a 4-game homestand Saturday night when they host the Southeast Division-rival Florida Everblades at the BI-LO Center (7:05 PM, Newsradio 1330 & 950 WORD).

Fans who plan on attending the game are encouraged to bring stuffed animals as a holiday donation for Toys for Tots. After the Grrrowl score their first goal of the game, teddy bears and stuffed animals will be tossed on the ice by fans, and gathered for the Toys for Tots campaign.

"It's another great opportunity for us to give something back to this community which has been so good to us over the years", said ScheerSports Chairman and CEO Carl Scheer. "I'm hoping we can collect thousands of stuffed animals for children in the Upstate to help brighten their holiday's. This really is a great promotional effort."

The Grrrowl, who have won 7 of their last 9 games, travel to Greensboro to face the Generals Friday night (7:30 PM, WORD), before hosting Florida Saturday night (7:05 PM) and Sunday afternoon (3:05 PM). Tickets are available at the BI-LO Center Box Office and all TicketMaster outlets.
