Crawford Dealt to Columbus

Baton Rouge Kingfish News Release


The Baton Rouge Kingfish announced today that they have traded the rights to forward Glenn Crawford to the Columbus Cottonmouths for cash.

Crawford spent time with the Kingfish last season before opting to play overseas in Europe.

In 26 games this season with the Kingfish, Crawford has picked up four goals and 14 assists for 18 points.

In other transactions, the Kingfish suspended Jesse Ferguson on Tuesday. The rookie defenseman has taken a scholarship opportunity with the University of New Brunswick to play hockey. He has picked up a goal and 8 assists in 25 games this season with the Kingfish.

The Kingfish host the Arkansas RiverBlades on Friday and the Mississippi SeaWolves on Saturday in game six of the Coca-Cola Cup challenge. Both game get underway at the Centroplex at 7:05 p.m. Call the Kingfish office at 336-GOAL to get your tickets now.
