Thinel Earns Recall by Grizzlies

Lexington, KY- Lexington Men O' War Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Jim Wiley announced today forward Marc-Andre Thinel (Tin-ell) has been recalled to the Utah Grizzlies of the American Hockey League. Thinel a 5-foot-11, 185-pound high scoring winger will join the Grizzlies for the second time this season. Thinel joins former Lexington forward Fraser Clair who was recalled by Utah on Monday.

Thinel will re-join the Grizz after a previous stint in Utah scoring one goal and adding three assists in 11 games. The 21-year old leaves after scoring six points (2G-4A) in four games with no penalty minutes. Lexington is 3-1 since Thinel was sent to the MOW over a week ago. The line of Thinel, Van Burgess and Mark Smith has combined for 18 points in the last four games. With Thinel in the line-up Lexington scored a season-high five goals twice.

" We are always happy for a player to play at the next level. It's selfish for us to want him to stay here to help us, but it's an excellent opportunity for him ", said Men O' War Head Coach Jim Wiley. "We wish him the best of luck ".

Friday the Lexington Men O' War will host the Toledo Storm at 7:30 p.m. After a road trip to Charlotte Saturday, the Lexington Men O' War will host the Wheeling Nailers for the first time ever at Rupp Arena on Sunday.
