Goneau loaned to AHL Hershey

Lafayette, LA – Louisiana IceGators left wing Daniel Goneau has been loaned to AHL Hershey, IceGators head coach and vice president of hockey operations Dave Farrish announced Thursday. Goneau is expected to join the Bears in time for a three-in-three set that begins Friday in Norfolk, Va. Hershey enters the weekend four points behind Norfolk for the South Division lead.

Goneau's 36 points (10g, 26a) in 26 games are second on the team, while his 26 assists are tied with teammate Kevin Mitchell for the league lead.

Goneau has spent the majority of his career at the AHL/IHL level, accumulating 182 points (87g, 95a) in 302 games in stops in Binghamton, Hartford, Manitoba and Detroit. Goneau also has 54 games of National Hockey League experience with the New York Rangers, recording 15 points (12g, 3a).

In 408 pro games in both North America and Europe, Goneau has registered 257 points (119g, 138a) and 317 penalty minutes.

The IceGators also play three games in three nights this weekend, playing host to Mississippi at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, traveling to Jackson on Saturday for a 7:05 matchup before finishing off the home-and-home set with the Bandits on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. at the Cajundome. Louisiana enters the weekend three points up on Mississippi for the Southwest Division lead. The Sea Wolves open a four-game road trip tonight in Pensacola.
