Ice Dogs Place Kapusta on Season-Ending Injured Reserve

LONG BEACH, Calif. – December 12, 2002 – Long Beach Ice Dogs Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Kevin Kaminski announced today that the Ice Dogs have placed center Tomas Kapusta on season-ending injured reserve.

Kapusta underwent surgery on his right knee this morning. Dr. Keith Feder, a surgeon at Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood, Calif. performed the surgery.

Kapusta played the first 13 games for the Ice Dogs this season, recording 8-7-15 totals with eight penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound native of Zlin, Czech Republic, suffered the injury in the second period of the Ice Dogs-Bakersfield Condors game on Nov. 23 in Bakersfield.
