Arizona Sundogs News Release

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League announced several roster adjustments today, including the recall of goaltender Joel Gistedt, under emergency conditions, to the American Hockey League's San Antonio Rampage by NHL parent club the Phoenix Coyotes.

Gistedt, 20, is in his first professional season in North America and has a 4-8-0 record through 13 games with Arizona this season. The rookie netminder has accumulated 296 saves and a .851 save percentage. The native of Uddevalla, Sweden was selected in the second round (36th overall) by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

The Sundogs have signed veteran forward Martin St. Amour and backup netminder Tyler Gallant to fill Gistedt's vacancy.

St. Amour was first drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round (34th overall) of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. The veteran forward appeared in one NHL contest with the Ottawa Senators during the 1992-93 season and collected two penalty minutes (PIM). The Montreal, Quebec, native averaged more than a point-per-game as a pro, tallying 306 goals, 369 points and 1,459 PIM in 584 games.

St. Amour moved from playing to coaching full-time, most recently serving as Head Coach of the ECHL's now defunct San Diego Gulls in 2005-06. In two full seasons as Head Coach of the Gulls, the former NHL draft pick compiled a 69-59-16 record.

In other roster moves, the Club has also placed forwards Tyler Liebel and Cory Stillman on 30-day I.R.
