Rocky Mountain Rage News Release

Broomfield, Colo. - The Central Hockey League announced today that Rocky Mountain Rage centerman Daymen Rycroft has been selected as a CHL All-Star. Rycroft will be one of 18 players representing the All-Stars in a game against the Colorado Eagles, who will host the All-Star Game with its new format (Host Team vs. All-Stars) on Jan. 14 at the Budweiser Events Center.

Despite missing nine games this season due to injury, Rycroft is still second on the Rage with 11 goals and fourth with 19 points overall. Last year he led the CHL with 48 goals and 23 power play markers on his way to finishing seventh in the league with 84 points. This will be Rycroft's second CHL All-Star appearance. He was voted a starter for the Southern Conference in 2005-06 when he played with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees.

Yesterday, the CHL released the starting line-up for the All-Stars, which was determined by balloting among the league's head coaches, communications departments, and select media members.
