
Duda Selected to All-Star Team

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder learned Wednesday afternoon that veteran forward Jason Duda has been selected to the 2009 CHL All-Star team. Duda leads the Thunder with 15 assists, 22 points, and a +8 +/- rating. The Sexsmith, Alberta native will be making his fourth CHL All-Star appearance, having also appeared on the squad in 2001, 2005, and 2006.
Duda was the CHL Oakley Player of the Week for October 27th-November 2nd, scoring three goals and one assist in three contests. He picked up his 500th career assist as a member of the Wichita Thunder on October 31st versus Rocky Mountain. On November 26th versus Tulsa, Duda notched four assists in a 7-3 Thunder win. This year's All-Star squad will face the Colorado Eagles in a new format at the Budweiser Events Center on January 14th.
The Thunder play tonight at 5:05 p.m. against the Tulsa Oilers at the Kansas Coliseum. Wichita's homestand continues this weekend when the Thunder host the Colorado Eagles on Friday and Saturday night. Both games start at 7:05 p.m.
