STORM NOTES

- Champions of the North! By virtue of a 3-2 shootout win Saturday night in Johnstown, the Toledo Storm clinched its first division crown since 2002-03. It was the sixth time in fifteen seasons, that the Toledo Storm has ended a season at the top of its division. With the division title in hand, the Storm will have the home ice advantage for the first two rounds of the 2006 Kelly Cup Playoffs.

- 46- Gets it Done! Toledo finished with 46 wins, which is the third most in franchise history. The most regular season wins for a Toledo team is 48, which was set by the 1995-96 Storm.

- Rewrite the Book! Drew MacIntyre set a new franchise record for the lowest goals against average for a single season (2.06). He also set a new mark for save percentage (.962). The old records were 2.34 by Scott Fankhouser, and Mark Richards .922. Toledo also set a new mark for the fewest goals allowed in a single season (189). The previous best mark was set in 2004-05 at 194. Not only did Bracken Kearns lead the Storm in scoring this season (33g, 36a), but he also played in 71 games. Bracken is first Storm player to appear in 71 games since 2002-03 (Matt Ellis, and Brandon Fleenor).

- Going Home! The Toledo Storm will start the 2006 Kelly Cup Playoffs at home for the first time since 2003. It was an impressive year at One Main, as the Storm finished with a 27-6-3 record. Toledo heads into the post season winners of 12 consecutive home contests.

- Power Play! Toledo finished the regular season with the power play ranked 10th at 18.2% (85 goals in 466 chances).

- Penalty Kill! Toledo stopped 335 of 397 power play chances against (84.4%) and ranks 4th in the ECHL.

- The Week Ahead! Toledo is awaiting the winner of the Johnstown/Trenton series, which gets underway tonight. Toledo will host the winner, Friday night April 14th in game one. Game two is set for Saturday night at the Toledo Sports Arena. Toledo was 9-3-0 against Trenton and 8-4-0 against Johnstown.

Storm Struck Quick Notes
- Bracken Kearns finished the season as the team leader in points with 69 (33g, 36a).
- Jason Maleyko led the team with 40 assists.
- Chris Blight collected the most game-winning goals this season (7).
- Ken Magowan completed the season with 15 power play goals.
- Despite only playing 28 games, Adam Keefe led the Storm with 174 penalty minutes.
- Scooter Smith was the only player to average a point per game 60 points (23g, 37a) in 59 games.

Bracken was consistent in all three games.
