No. 5 Charlotte Checkers (33-34-5) at No. 4 South Carolina Stingrays

* Checkers won the first eight meetings of the season and are 9-2-0 against
South Carolina.
* Stingrays won the last two meetings at home, outscoring the Checkers
10-5.
* Defenseman Jake Ortmeyer leads Charlotte against South Carolina with
eight assists in 11 games.
* Evan Schwabe leads the Stingrays against Charlotte with eight assists and
12 points in seven games.
* Charlotte's Kris MacPhee has nine points (6g-3a) in his last 12 games.
North Division Quarterfinals (Best-of-Three)
No. 5 Trenton Titans (31-36-5) at No. 4 Johnstown Chiefs (30-26-16)
7:30 p.m. ET
* Chiefs are 5-0-0 and have outscored the Titans 17-5 in the last five
games at Johnstown, improving to 5-0-2.
* Scott Bertoli (3g-5a) and Jim Henkel (2g-5a) lead the Titans offensively
against the Chiefs.
* Defenseman Brett Pederson has three power-play goals and nine points
(4g-5a) in 13 games against Titans.
* Trenton's Chris Pittman has scored in four of his last five games
