San Diego Gulls News Release
FRESNO, Calif. - The San Diego Gulls, who finalized their playoff roster Monday, got some key players back from the American Hockey League's Lowell Lock Monsters. Goaltender Tyler Weiman and left-winger Cody McLeod were both re-assigned to San Diego and are expected to be in the lineup Tuesday in Game 1 against the Fresno Falcons. David Svagrovsky is expected to be assigned from Lowell later in the series.
Meanwhile, rookie netminder Kris Mayotte was loaned to Lowell and both Aaron McKenzie and Erik Johnson were released. Dennis Shiryaev was released Saturday. Other moves that affects San Diego's roster were the additions of R.J. Enga and Mark Adamek to the seven-day injured reserve slots.
That leaves the Gulls with 19 active skaters heading into their best-of-seven Pacific Division Semifinal series against Fresno. Games 1 and 2 will be Tuesday and Wednesday in Fresno (both starting at 7:30 p.m.) before shifting back to San Diego for Games 3, 4 and if necessary 5.
