
Everblades adjust roster prior to playoffs

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president & general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward John Ronan and defenseman John Adams have been placed on the injured reserve list. As per team policy the injuries were not disclosed.
Ronan, 25, was placed onto the 30-day IR after suffering an injury in Florida's season-ending 3-2 victory at Pensacola on April 8. The native of Braintree, Massachusetts has tallied 26 points (12g, 14a) in 68 games with the Everblades this season. The rookie was originally acquired by the Everblades in a trade with Alaska (ECHL) on October 15, 2005 and tallied his first professional goal on November 4 vs. Augusta. Prior to turning pro Ronan spent four years at the collegiate level with the University of Maine. During his four-year career with the Black Bears, Ronan tallied 47 points in 132 games.
Adams heads to the 7-day IR after also suffering an injury in Florida's 3-2 win at Pensacola on April 8. The 24-year-old has collected 15 points (1g, 14a) in 42 games with the Everblades this season. The rookie out of Boston College has also skated in 13 total American Hockey League games with Springfield, Grand Rapids and Cleveland this year. Prior to joining the professional ranks, the Wayzata, Minnesota native played in 136 career games at Boston College, scoring 29 points.
