Jerseys up for auction to benefit Active 20/30 & Walker Franks

Tuesday, April 11 and Friday, April 14 : The Bakersfield Condors will auction off their warm- up jerseys worn by the team before every home game through-out the season. The pre-game warm- up jersey, sponsored by U.S. Army feature a camouflage Desert Storm design. The majority of the jerseys will be listed in a silent auction being held on the main concourse during the games. The bids from Tuesday will carry over to Friday's game and the auction will close mid-way through the 3rd period Friday night so that the winners can be determined by the end of the game. Fans can place bids at pre- determined tables on the concourse, so come early and check your bids often. Forward Eric Neilson's warm up jersey will be auctioned live during the first period on Tuesday. The pre-game sweaters for Condors players Ryan Munce, Kevin St. Jacques and Sean Venedam will be auctioned off in a live auction following Friday's game. Proceeds from this auction will benefit the Active 20/30 Club, an international organization that works to improve the quality of life for special needs children in the community. This particular fundraiser will help serve the needs of 9 year-old Walker Franks, a Bakersfield boy with severe acquired aplastic anemia.

Saturday, April 15 : Join the Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd at Jim Burke Ford from 11-2pm as the auto group works to "Put the Brakes on Cancer". From April 15-30th Jim Burke Ford will donate $10 to the American Cancer Society for every brake job or the purchase of 4 tires. Saturday, April 15th and Saturday, April 22nd Colonel Claw'd will be present to sign autographs and mingle with customers. Jim Burke Ford is located at 2001 Oak Street in Bakersfield.

Saturday, April 22 : Members of the Condors Kids Club are invited to help "Keep Bakersfield Beautiful" by participating in a clean-up of Yokuts Park at 8am. If you are a member of the Condors Kids Club and would like more information or to RSVP for this event, contact the Condors Community Relations Department at 324-PUCK (7825).

Blackout the Ice Dogs : On Tuesday, April 11th, the Condors host the Long Beach Ice Dogs in Game One of the Kelly Cup Playoffs sponsored by KGET-TV 17 and The New AT&T. All fans in attendance will receive a Condors Rally Towel and are encouraged to Blackout the Ice Dogs by wearing black to the game. Playoff ticket packages are now available including the Condors Playoff Family Pack, which includes: 1 game ticket, 1 hot dog, 1 soda and 1 Nightly Note for all four first-round playoff games starting for as low as $36 Also, fans may purchase tickets for all prospective playoff games in advance.
