Toledo Walleye News Release

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the East Coast Hockey League today announced that defenseman, Grady Moore, has been named to the ECHL's All-Rookie Team. Moore joins goaltender, Adam Hauser (Jackson Bandits), defenseman, Jonathan Zion (Richmond Renegades), and forwards, Jason Jaffray (Roanoke Express), Mike Glumac (Pee Dee Pride), and Zenon Konopka (Wheeling Nailers) on the All-Rookie Team, which was selected through a vote by ECHL coaches.

Moore, 6'1"/193 (24), who leads the Storm with 38 assists, has racked up a total of 45 points (7g - 38a = 45 pts) in 63 games for Toledo this year, making him the highest scoring defensemen on the team. He is currently the second highest rookie scoring defenseman in the league and is also tied for seventeenth in overall rookie scoring and tenth amongst the defensemen in the league in total points.

Over the course of the season, Moore, who played his college hockey at Bowling Green State University, has racked up two game winning goals, three power play goals, and eleven multi-point performances. In his last nineteen games with the Storm, Moore, who earned a call up to the Cleveland Barons of the American Hockey League for five games in late January and early February, has assisted on fourteen goals for the Storm. He also established a team high in late February when he was credited with eleven shots on goal against the Wheeling Nailers.

The Storm has three games remaining in the regular season-a two game series against the Cincinnati Cyclones at the Toledo Sports Arena this Friday and Saturday night (7:30 p.m.); and a Sunday matinee (3:00 p.m.) against the Wheeling Nailers in Wheeling, West Virginia. All games game day broadcasts can be heard live on WCWA 1230 am in Toledo and on the internet at www.toledostorm.com with the pre-game show beginning 30 minutes before game time.
