Greensboro Generals News Release

GREENSBORO GENERALS

The Generals defeated the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies 3-2 last night in heart-stopping fashion. Greensboro fell behind less than a minute into the game, but Sam Ftorek evened the score at 1-1 before the break. Atlantic City regained their one-goal lead in the second period, and held the lead entering the third. The Generals' Bryan Richardson tied the game one minute into the final frame, setting up the chance for Geno Parrish to be the hero. Parrish took a feed from Mike Bayrack in the slot and fired a wrist shot into the net with only 3.8 seconds left in the game for the dramatic game-winning goal. Daniel Berthiaume was fabulous in goal, stopping 39 shots to earn the victory.

ROANOKE EXPRESS

The Express trounced the Trenton Titans 6-1 at home last night. Roanoke spotted the Titans a 1-0 first period lead, but they dominated from there. Dylan Gyori tied the game in the first period, and Jason Jaffray and Cam Bristow scored second period goals to take the lead for good. The Express pulled away in the third period with goals from Dan Carlson, Novock, and a second tally from Bristow. The power play was a major contributor to Roanoke's offense, converting four of their six goals with the man advantage. Evan Lindsay turned aside 30 shots to pick up the win, while Gyori paced the offense with a goal and three assists in his first game back from the American Hockey League. RECENT TRANSACTIONS
